The Board of Finance will hold its Public Meeting on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. in Room 201/201A of Town Hall for the following purpose:
AGENDA
1. To approve the Board of Finance Minutes of the February 1, 2017 Special Meeting and the February 1, 2017 Regular Meeting.
2. Financial Report from the Finance Director. (Discussion Only)
3. Status Update from the Audit Manager. (Discussion Only)
4. Explanation of the effect on Westport, of the State Budget Proposals. (Discussion only)
5. First Selectman Jim Marpe will present the Town of Westport Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-18.
6. Board of Education Chairman Michael Gordon will present the Board of Education Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-18.
7. Upon the request of the Town Attorney, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $60,000 to the Town Attorney Negotiated Services Account #10101170-533200 to cover expenses for pension negotiations and arbitrations.
8. Upon the request of the Police Department, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $1,390,012 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account #30502210-500295 for construction of a new centralized dispatch center in the Police Station which will replace the existing dispatch centers in both the Fire and Police Departments.
9. Fire Department update of Consultant Data and the Department Budget. (Discussion only)
10. To discuss the terms of the proposed conveyance by David Adam Realty of land located at 36 Elm Street in exchange for a conveyance by the Town of Westport of a portion of land located at 35 Elm Street.
