AGENDA
This
represents a Kick-Off meeting between Committee members and Barton Partners,
our selected consultant, to organize next steps towards creating and
implementing a Plan for Saugatuck. Attending on behalf of Barton Partners and
their sub-consultants will be: Seth Shapiro, Heather Craig, Mark Evans, and
Matthew Koenig of Barton Partners, and Michael Szura of Langan Engineering.
Discussion will be led by Barton Partners and moderated by Committee Co-Chairs,
Craig Schiavone and Mary Young. P&Z Staff members Katherine Daniel and
Keisha Fink will help facilitate the meeting and take minutes. All interested
members of the public are invited to attend.
1. Discuss/vote
to create a new brand for the Committee and our plan:
A. Replace existing name (Saugatuck Transit Oriented Development
Master Plan Steering Committee) with new abbreviated name such as: "Saugatuck
Steering Committee" or "SSC"
B.
Develop
a plan name, such as "Gateway for
Westport"
2.
Discuss/vote to form sub-committee to
address Cribari Bridge (Saugatuck
Swing Bridge)
3. Discuss/vote
to revise the Study Area:
Expand the
area to the west to include more State-owned property and Town-owned parking lots
4.
Discuss/vote to revise the Scope of
Work presented in the initial proposal
(To reflect the Historic Inventory required
per the RFP addendum, etc.)
5.
Discuss/vote on the proposed Work Schedule
6.
Discuss Next Steps
A.
Organize
dates for interviews with Consultants and Committee members
B.
Seek
names of additional stakeholders to be interviewed by the Consultants
C.
Commencement
by Barton Partners of a new website so Committee members and other stakeholders
can track our progress and stay connected.
