Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of January 11, 2017 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of January 11, 2017.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request to use Town-owned property known as Jesup Green from July 7, 2017 (set-up) through July 18, 2017 for the Westport Library’s Summer Book Sale, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town Property, Facilities and Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director and in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to accept monetary gifts to the Town of Westport Human Services Department 2016 Holiday Program (DHS Family Program account).
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tree Warden and in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to accept the donation of 82 trees and shrubs from Planter’s Choice Nursery, LLC.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the request for a waiver of the Westport Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to portions of the existing building façade located within the Town right-of-way abutting Long Lots Road on property known as 833 Post Road East, contingent upon compliance with the Town Engineer’s letter.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to set a public hearing date to determine final benefit assessments for the extension and installation of a public water main (Contract No. W5) to be levied on those affected properties located on Big Pines Road.
7.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to revise the RESOLUTION dated August 25, 2016 and approved on September 14, 2016, to correctly identify and change the property requesting the residential sanitary sewer connection from 8 Mimi Lane to 4 Mimi Lane.
