Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes:
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of November 23, 2016 and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of November 23, 2016.
2.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority and in accordance with C.G.S. §7-246a, the following application will be “received,” subject to determination of completeness*:
a.Application of Summit Saugatuck, LLC for Extension of Private Sewer from Davenport Lane to Hiawatha Lane Extension And Allocation of Sewer Capacity, dated November 29, 2016.**
*Applications deemed incomplete will not be considered “received.”
**A public hearing on this application will not be opened at this time and will be scheduled for a subsequent date.
3.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 1177 Post Road East, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of December 7, 2016. (tabled item from Nov. 8, 2016)
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town properties known as Jesup Green and the Library Riverwalk on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. for events related to First Night Westport/Weston, contingent upon compliance with comments from relevant Town Departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town–owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Fire Chief, to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and Marion Body Works, Inc. of Marion, WI for the construction and delivery of a Type-1 Pumper Truck bid at $615,400.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Director of Public Works to designate approximately seven (7) parking spaces on the east side of Main Street as “NO PARKING DURING SNOW STORMS” for temporary stockpiling of snow by Public Works snowplow crews during storm events.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to determine final assessments to be levied on the properties that participated in the brick sidewalk construction program for the Main Street Enhancement Project completed in 2015.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Energy Services Agreement between the Town of Westport and NORESCO, LLC for the installation of energy conservation measures and related measurement and verification services in eight school buildings and four Town buildings.
