Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of August 25, 2016 and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of August 25, 2016.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town owned property known as Jesup Green for the Bon Odori Festival sponsored by the Japan Society of Fairfield County from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways. (NOTE: previously approved for August 24, 2016)
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine, to authorize First Selectman James S. Marpe to execute on behalf of the Town of Westport, a Personal Services Agreement with the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection as a condition to receiving the awarded 2016 America the Beautiful Urban Forestry grant in the amount of $10,900 for the second phase of urban woodland renewal and enhancement at the Town owned property known as the Lillian Wadsworth Arboretum.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Service Agreement between the Town of Westport and Granicus, Inc. to design, develop and host the Town of Westport website.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Network Access Service Agreement between the Town of Westport and the State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services and Commission for Educational Technology as it relates to fiber internet connection and increased internet bandwidth.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the award of contract bid #16-851T to Total Interiors, LLC as it relates to the addition and renovations to the Town owned property known as Wakeman Town Farm located at 134 Cross Highway.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Agreement between the Saugatuck Island Special Taxing District and the Town of Westport as it relates to the replacement, repair and maintenance of the Saugatuck Island Bridge.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Works, to approve the award of contract bid #17-859T as it relates to Town Project 2016-10, Pavement Preservation and Repairs, 2016-B.
