Legal Notice & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a special public hearing on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at 4 p.m. in Room 309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of April 27, 2011.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of town-owned property known as Jesup Green on Saturday, July 23, (rain date Sunday, July 24), from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. by the Japan Society of Fairfield County for the Annual Bon-Odori Summer Festival, contingent upon compliance with comments from town departments including the Westport/Weston Health District, and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and Michael Guman for consultant services as relates to providing technical support for the Police Department servers and databases.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve and authorize Gordon F. Joseloff, First Selectman, to execute on behalf of the Town of Westport a Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) grant agreement with the State of Connecticut for financial assistance to renovate Levitt Pavilion, #3100-15-0158; and further that Gordon F. Joseloff, First Selectman, is authorized to enter into such agreements, contracts and execute all documents necessary to said grant with the State of Connecticut.

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a waiver of the Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as relates to an entryway on Franklin Street for restaurant located at 30 Charles Street, contingent upon compliance with Town Engineer letter of April 19, 2011.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to approve a proposed sewerage use charge due and payable July 1, 2011 of $5.87 per hundred cubic feet, receipts which shall be applicable to the 2011-2012 fiscal year.
