Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of May 11, 2016 and the minutes of the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of May 11, 2016.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town Property known as Jesup Green on Monday, August 5, 2016 from 3 pm to 6 pm for the Westport Library’s “Outdoor Messy Crafts” program, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Letter of Agreement between the Town of Westport and the American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter as it relates to cooperation, collaboration and coordination in carrying our respective responsibilities in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a Shelter Agreement between the American Red Cross and the Town of Westport as it relates to utilizing certain Town-owned facilities as emergency public shelters on a temporary basis in the event of a disaster.
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Affiliation Agreement between the Town of Westport and the University of New Haven as it relates to the Dietetic Internship Program.
6.To take such action as the meeting may determine upon the request of the Town Clerk, to approve the Software Services Renewal Schedule to the Master Agreement for Products and Services dated September 14, 2009 between the Town of Westport and COTT Systems, Inc. for indexing and imaging services for the records of the Town Clerk.
7.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and Drummey Rosane Anderson, Inc. (DRA) as it relates to conducting a Space Analysis & Master Plan Development for Westport Town Hall.
8.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the contract between the Town of Westport and the Matrix Consulting Group as it relates to conducting a Current Assessment and Future Strategic Study of the Westport Fire Department.
9.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Auditing Services Agreement between the Town of Westport and RSM US, LLP (formerly RSM McGladrey) as it relates to performing the Town audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016.
10.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Business Associate Agreement by and between the Town of Westport and RSM US, LLP.
11.To take such action as the meeting may determine to authorize the First Selectman, on behalf of the Historic District Commission, to i) apply for a $10,000 Certified Local Government Historic Preservation Grant for the preparation of a Bridge Street National Register Nomination Study from the Department of Economic and Community Development, State Historic Preservation Office and ii) to accept the grant and to execute all documents in connection herewith.
12.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the award of contract Bid No. 16-834T to Grasso Companies, LLC, for the construction of the Sanitary Sewer Extension (Contract #66) affecting properties located at or in the area of Joann Circle, Acorn Lane and Clover Road.
13.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the residential sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 5 Evans Court, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of May 10, 2016.
14.Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a proposed sewer use charge. in an amount to be determined, per hundred cubic feet, due and payable July 1, 2016, which shall be applicable to the 2014-2015 fiscal year.
15.To review and comment on the proposed local historic property designation of the mansion known as Golden Shadows, and the guest house and carriage house located on a portion of Town property at 60 Compo Road South, and the Nike Missile Radar Site located on Town property located at Bayberry Lane.
