Notice is hereby given that the Westport Historic District Commission will hold a special public meeting on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in Town Hall, Room 309 on the local historic designation of the following town owned properties:
1.The property and buildings known as Golden Shadows (68 Compo Road South), the guest house (70 Compo Road South) and the carriage house/garage (72 Compo Road South) each located on a portion of Baron’s South at 60 Compo Road South.
2.The property and buildings known as the Nike Missile Radar Site at 182 Bayberry Lane.
The Commission will review the comments and recommendations from the State Historic Preservation Office and the Westport Planning & Zoning Commission, will hear public comment and will vote to accept the final study report, as may be amended, for each property.
This notice will be published in The Westport News twice, first on Friday, May 20, 2016 and second on Friday, May 27, 2016. Copies of the study reports and comments from the State Historic Preservation Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission can be viewed at the Town Clerk’s Office or the Historic District Commission Office.
