Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of March 30, 2016 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of March 30, 2016.
2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various public roadways for the Bike 4 Bikes Event sponsored by Northeast Community Cycles from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2016, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various public roadways for the Braking AIDS® Bike Ride from 6:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2016, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Town of Westport’s participation in the Memorandum of Understanding for SunShot Prize Race to 7 Day Solar Competition as it relates to the acceleration of solar deployment challenge sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.
5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to accept the transfer of ownership of one (1) 2015 PL Custom Medallion Type III Chevrolet G4500 Ambulance from the Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service to the Town of Westport in accordance with the Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town.
6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to accept a bequest in the amount of $12,797.02 from the Estate of Carol S. Plaut to the Department of Human Services for the Home Delivered Meals of Westport program in accordance with the Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town.
7. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve an Agreement between the Town of Westport and William A. Achilles, Jr. d/b/a Achilles Architects for the preparation of an adaptive re- use feasibility study for Town owned property located at 68 Compo Road South (Golden Shadows).
8. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the award of contract Bid #16-836T in the amount of $84,329.85 to Giunta-Bolduc for the installation of new concrete sidewalk along the east beach at Town owned property known as Compo Beach.
9. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the award of contract Bid #16-837T as it relates to the reconstruction of two existing basketball courts at Town owned property known as Compo Beach.
10. To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and approve updated requirements, guidelines and procedures as they relate to door-to-door solicitor and food vendor permits.
11. To take such action as the meeting may determine to review and approve updated requirements, guidelines and procedures as they relate to permits for the Use of Town Owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
