Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):
1.To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of February 10, 2016 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of February 10, 2016.
2.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve a request for a waiver of the Westport Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to concrete stairs and a retaining wall located within the Town right-of-way on property known as 36 Elm Street.
3.To take such action as the meeting may determine to adopt the 2016-2021 Southwestern Region Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Update resolution (as attached).
4.To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the filing of a Community Development Block - Disaster Relief Program (CDBG-DR) Grant by the Town of Westport in an amount not to exceed $650,000; and to authorize First Selectman James S. Marpe to file such Application with the Commissioner of the Department of Housing, to provide such additional information, to execute such other documents as may be required by the Commissioner, to execute an Assistance Agreement with the State of Connecticut for State financial assistance if such an Agreement is offered, to execute any amendments, rescissions, and revisions thereto, and to act as the authorized representative of the Town of Westport as it relates to the Downtown Westport Flood Resiliency Planning: Master Drainage Plan and Stream Study (the “Project”).
5.To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Sec. 9-199 (b), to appoint an alternate for each member of the Westport Board of Assessment Appeals for terms effective March 1, 2016 through March 31, 2016.
