Board Policy 1312.1 and Regulation 1312.1 for the purpose of reviewing a complaint regarding certain books in the Staples High School library.)

Given that this matter is not before the Board of Education and the role of this committee pursuant to Regulation 1312.1 (see also Regulation 6161) is to “render an evaluative judgment and recommendation” to the Superintendent, there will not be an opportunity for public comment at this meeting. If the Superintendent’s disposition is appealed to the Board of Education, the Board may permit public comment at that time in accordance with established Board of Education policy and practice.
