WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING
APRIL 18, 2012

Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Westport Conservation Commission pursuant to the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act, and the Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Inland Wetlands and Watercourses of the Town of Westport (IWW Regulations) to be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 7:00 pm in Room 201/201A of the Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue. The Commission shall meet to take such action under the purview of the Town’s IWW Regulations and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance as the meeting may determine with regard to the following:

Work Session I: 7:00 pm, Room 201/201A (The work session is not a public hearing. The public is invited to attend but may not speak.) The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. A public hearing will not be opened at this time for the following applications:

1. Receipt of Applications
2. Report by Conservation Compliance Officer on the status of existing enforcement activity.
3. Annual report by the Conservation Director on conservation related efforts by the department.
4. 10 Stony Brook Rd: Request by staff to issue an administrative approval for a stonewall relocated in and within the 30 ft upland review area and WPLO area of Stony Brook.
5. Other Business

Public Hearing: 7:30 pm, Room 201/201A (The following applications will be “received” by the Conservation Commission subject to determination of completion. If applications are determined to be complete the Commission will proceed by opening the hearing. (At this time interested parties may be heard after being recognized by the Chairman. Written communication may be received for all applications until the public hearing is closed.) Applications and plans may be examined in the Conservation Department, Room 205, Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

1. 8 Manitou Court: Application #WPL-9066-12 by Roberge Associates Coastal Engineers, LLC on behalf of Ken and Barbara Utting for repair of an existing seawall, planting of a vegetated stabilization slope and an in-kind reconstruction of a pier, ramp and floating dock. Work is within the WPLO area, the 25 year and the 100 year floodplain of the Saugatuck River.
2. 207 Hillspoint Road: Application #WPL-9067-12 by Barr Associates, LLC on behalf of Hideko Kamino & Howard Rateck for the demolition of the existing house and patio and the construction of a new single family residence, deck and a/c shelf with associated site improvements. Work is within the WPLO area, the 25 year and the 100 year floodplain of the Sherwood Mill Pond.
3. 41 Crescent Road: Application #AA-9041-12 by Land-Tech Consultants, Inc on behalf of Roger Quick, Heritage Homes for retaining the existing single family dwelling and subdividing the property into four new single-family building lots outside the upland review area of isolated wetlands.

Work Session II: (The work session is not a public hearing. The public is invited to attend but may not speak.)

1. Approval of March 21, 2012 meeting minutes.
2. Approval of March 19, 2012 field trip minutes
3. Other business.

The Commission may not open new business on the agenda after 11:00 p.m. at the discretion of the Chairman. This includes applications scheduled for public hearings. Items shall be continued or rescheduled to a later date as necessary.
