Notice is hereby given that the Board of Selectmen, Traffic Authority and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 307/309 of the Westport Town Hall for the following purpose(s):

 

1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s public hearing of March 17, 2016 and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public hearing of March 17, 2016.

 

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various public roadways for the Bloomin’ Metric Bicycle Event sponsored by Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2016., contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadway.

 

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various public roadways for   the Bike MS Bicycle Event sponsored by the National MS Society from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016., contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for the Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

 

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town-owned property known as the Jesup Green by the Westport Library from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2016 for the Summer Solstice Event, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

 

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town owned property known as Parker Harding Plaza for the Westport Fine Arts Festival sponsored by the Downtown Merchants Association from 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016 through 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2016, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

 

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town owned property known as Jesup Green for the Bon Odori Festival sponsored by the Japan Society of Fairfield County from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 (rain date Sunday, August 14, 2016) contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.

 

7. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Fire Chief, to accept a grant from the Factory Mutual Insurance Company in the amount of $4,000 for the purchase of iPads and inspection/pre-plan software licenses.

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Finance Director and the Director of Information Technology, to approve the Second Amendment to the Application Service Provider Agreement between the Town of Westport and Tyler Technologies, Inc., dated March 18, 2008, as it relates to MUNIS Financial, Payroll and Human Resources software products.

 

9. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve the award of contract (Bid #16-836T) as it relates to the installation of  new concrete sidewalk along the east beach at Town owned property known as Compo Beach.


10. Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the residential sanitary sewer connection request at property known as 16 Hilltop Trail, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Coordinator’s letter of March 17, 2016.
